Some changes happened this year in the BMLab. The Lab Manager Lukas Warning quitted his job which was a huge loss for the IUBL. As a new Lab Manager Hanns Amri was hired for 8 hours a week to compensate the most urgent tasks form Lukas.
After the restrictions form the COVID19 pandemic it was time to re-organise the lab and bring back some activities. Fist some minor re-arrangements were done to be prepared for the coming tasks. Besides the different work in the lab performed by the PhD – you can find it in the research chapters – also two experiments were performed by the BMLab directly.
Dynamic test for wood-sandwich structures were performed by the BMLab. The test were done on the ZWICK dynamic test machine. The goal of this study was to create some points of the S/N curve of that material.

Furthermore, also biomedical tests were performed. Mechanic properties of parts of the meniscus were investigated. The goal was to find out the best conservation method for the meniscus.
