Introduction
The Mixed Reality Lab (MR Lab) is equipped with two optical motion tracking systems that enable accurate full-body and object tracking throughout the entire Main-Lab Room.
These systems allow for high-accuracy tracking setups which use the full-room to fast markerless demos, depending on the specific research or visualization task.
System Overview
The MR Lab tracking setup consists of two distinct systems:

Tracking Systems
Qualisys
The Qualisys system is the larger and more precise of the two, covering the entire Main Lab Room of the MR Lab.
It provides real-time tracking data that can be integrated with Unreal Engine, Unity, or other visualization tools.
Coverage Areas:
LED Wall Area
Spatial Audio Zone
LED Cave
Main Lab Room (32 cameras total - currently only 18 mounted)
Each area can be operated individually or combined into one unified tracking volume.
Tracking configurations and presets can be selected directly from the Touch Panel in the lab for quick switching between setups.
Moverse
The Moverse system covers the LED-Wall Area and consists of 8 cameras arranged around the space.
Unlike the System from Qualisys, it does not require any physical markers or suits.
This makes it ideal for:
Quick setup scenarios
Fast demonstrations or interactive installations
Situations where marker attachment is impractical

Usage & Operation
Qualisys System
Turn on the Qualisys cameras at least one hour before use via the Touch Panel.
To ensure optimal tracking accuracy, perform a calibration before each session.
Calibration data and presets for different zones (e.g., LED Cave, Main Lab) will be available to choose from directly through the Qualisys software.
Moverse System
Cameras are positioned for the LED Wall region.
No physical preparation (markers or suits) is required.
Simply launch the Moverse software to begin tracking.
