1. Certificate creation on the self-service portal
Detailed steps
- Call up the Harica's Customer Portal using Single-Sign-on to initiate the self-service process.
Caution: Regarding the Single Sign-on some changes are still expected, which could lead to the situation that already enrolled certificates cannot be seen. We are still waiting for more information from our provider Harica.
Select the desired certificate type, in this case "Email": - Currently please select the type Email-only:
- Check your email address in the following forms and continue with the button "Next":
and again select button "Next" - Check your inputs, read and accept the Term of Use and Data Privacy Statement to finalize this step using the button "Submit".
- In your dashboard you will find the section "Ready Certificate" and continue with button "Enroll your Certificate" and on the following screen select "Generate Certificate". The algorithm RSA is the commonly used one and the default key size is usually adequate.
Enter the passphrase twice (which is not kept by Harica) and should be safely stored (if it is lost, you have to re-enroll the certificate).
Finally, select the “Enrol certificate” button. - The download link is then offered:
You will find the file named
certificate.p12in your download directory.
Take this file to continue with installation in your email client.
