Storage space, home directories

Home directories (2 GB) automatically linked to your student account are available for sessions on the computers in the TU.it Internet rooms. Here you can especially store all files created or downloaded during a Linux (LIZ) or Windows (WIZ) session.

It is possible to transfer files to and from the server home.student.tuwien.ac.at via SFTP (part of SSH) or SMB (Samba, CIFS). When using SCP clients, SFTP (or fallback to SFTP) must be set. Interactive access via the command shell is not possible. Access is limited to the internal network of the TU Wien. A VPN connection is required from outside.
