What are the applications?

Primarily the most important open source applications for mail, WWW, office, graphics, science, multimedia, as well as software development are available, see Software of the Workstations. A complete list sorted by categories can be found in the Start menu (button at the bottom left of the taskbar).
Windows applications under Linux are currently not offered.
There are currently some Windows computers in the Gusshaus (above the refectory and next to EI7) on a test basis.
