Welcome to our Biomechanics Research Group!
The interuniversity biomechanics lab was founded in 2021 by Prof. Dieter Pahr to give visibility and a platform for the collaboration of his two research groups at the Institute for Lightweight Design and Structural Biomechanics (TU-Wien) and at the Division Biomechanics (Karl-Landsteiner Private University). This double professorship at the TU Vienna and at KL Krems aims to put engineering at the service of human health. Research covers the areas of prevention, treatment, and aftercare of diseases of the musculoskeletal system with the help of simulation methods, imaging methods, experimental investigations, and 3D printing.
