TUmatrix

Brief description

TUmatrix is the chat tool for all employees and students of TU Wien. It enables simple and secure communication and collaboration, even across universities.

Definitions

• Spaces
  Spaces offer a structured way to manage several rooms collectively.
• Rooms
  Every user can create rooms themselves.
• Thread
  The sum of all replies to a message (i.e. in an ad-hoc conversation). However, it also refers to the sum of all replies in a conversation or in a channel.

• Arranging consultation hours
• Short feedback from students
• Brainstorming and exchanging thoughts with students and colleagues from TU Wien

Access

TUmatrix can be accessed in your web browser directly via https://matrix.tuwien.ac.at/.

Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux can be downloaded here. (Please do NOT use the Internet Explorer for download!)

The native mobile app Rocket.Chat+ for Android and iOS are available at Google Play and the App Store respectively.

When logging in using the app the server „tuwien.ac.at“ must be inserted.
