Mit TUchat bieten wir Ihnen einen professionellen Chat-Dienst zur Kommunikation und Kollaboration in Teams aber auch für Einzelunterhaltungen an. Teilen Sie Texte, Formeln (KaTeX), Dateien, Bilder oder Videos.

Definitionen

TUmatrix ist das Chat-Tool für alle Mitarbeitenden und Studierenden der TU Wien. Damit ermöglichen wir einfache und sichere Kommunikation und Kollaboration, auch universitätsübergreifend.

  • Spaces
    • Spaces bieten eine strukturierte Möglichkeit, mehrere Räume (Rooms) gesammelt zu verwalten.
  • Räume
    • Jede_r User_in kann selbst Räume erstellen
  • Kanal (en: Channel)
    • mit Raute # bezeichnet.
    • Quasi "äußerste" Räume in einem Chat
  • Unterhaltung (en: Discussion)
    • mit zwei Sprechblasen bezeichnet
    • Quasi "Subräume" in einem Kanal
  • Ad-hoc-Unterhaltung
    • Wenn zu einer Meldung (in einem Kanal oder in einer Unterhaltung) Antworten direkt zu dieser Meldung geposteten werden, wird automatisch eine Unterhaltung geöffnet - diese nennt sich auch Ad-hoc-Unterhaltung.  Antworten werden (im Webbrowser) mit einem blauen Button "x Antworten" (en: "x Replys") angezeigt und gehen in einem eigenen "Raum" auf - das kann beim Browser auch direkt neben der (Haupt-)Unterhaltung bzw. dem Kanal sein.
  • Thread
    • Die Summe aller Antworten zu einer Meldung (also in einer Ad-hoc-Unterhaltung). Allerdings ebenso die Summe aller Antworten in einer Unterhaltung oder in einem Kanal.

Die Desktop-Apps für Windows, macOS und Linux stehen hier zum Download bereit. (Bitte zum Download nicht den Internet Explorer nutzen!)Die native mobile App Rocket.Chat+ für Android und iOS sind bei Google Play bzw. im App Store verfügbar.

Bei Anmeldung mittels App muss bei Server „chat.tuwien.ac.at"“ eingetragen werden.

With TUchat, we offer you a professional chat service for communication and collaboration in teams and individual conversations respectively.
You can share texts, formulas (KaTeX), files, pictures or videosTUmatrix is the chat tool for all employees and students of TU Wien. It enables simple and secure communication and collaboration, even across universities.

Definitions

  • Spaces
    Spaces offer a structured way to manage several rooms collectively.
  • Rooms
    Every user can create rooms themselves.
  • Thread
    The sum of all replies to a message (i.e. in an ad-hoc conversation). However, it also refers to the sum of all replies in a conversation or in a channel.
  • Channel
    • labelled by hash #
    • the furthermost "outer" room in a chat
  • Discussion 
    • labelled by two speech bubbles
    • "Sub room" in a channel
  • Ad hoc discussion
    • When someone answers directly (in a channel or in a discussion), a new discussion will be opened automatically. This is called an ad hoc discussion. Answers are displayed with a blue button "x Replys" (when using the web browser). They open up in their own "room". In the web browser, this room can be directly next to the (main) discussion/channel

TUchat TUmatrix can be accessed in your web browser directly via https://chatmatrix.tuwien.ac.at/.

Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux can be downloaded here. (Please do NOT use the Internet Explorer for download!)

The native mobile app Rocket.Chat+ for Android and iOS are available at Google Play and the App Store respectively.

When logging in using the app the server „chat.tuwien.ac.at“ must be inserted.
