Kurzbeschreibung:

Die Aneignung von Informationen durch die Studierenden basiert entweder auf live Vorträgen durch Lehrende oder auf unterschiedlichen Informationsträgern, die Texte, Bilder, Audioaufnahmen oder Videos transportieren können. Üblich sind dafür Formate wie PowerPoint-Präsentationen, PDF-Dokumente, Podcasts oder MP4-Viedeos. All diese Informationsträger kann jede_r einzelne Lehrende jedesmal für den eigenen Bedarf selbst produzieren. Das ist die traditionelle, wenig effiziente Arbeitsweise. Die viele effizientere Alternative dazu sind offene Bildungsressourcen (open educational resources / OER).

Das Konzept von OER besteht darin, dass ich eine Lernunterlage für meine aktuelle Lehrveranstaltung erstelle und anschließend - unter definierten Bedingungen (siehe Anwendungshinweise) und mit einer bestimmten Lizenzierung - der akademischen Community (intern, lokal, national oder international) zur Verfügung stelle. Umgekehrt kann ich die von anderen Kolleg_innen entwickelten und als OER zur Verfügung gestellten Materialien für meine Veranstaltungen verwenden (wie z.B. das Prinzip der vollständigen Induktion, das seit Jahrhunderten unverändert gilt). Somit erspare ich mir den Zeitaufwand für deren Erstellung.

Tools:

Einerseits sind hier die Tools zu erwähnen, die zur Erstellung der unterschiedlichen Formate von Lernmaterialien dienlich sind und bereits an anderer Stelle im Detail behandelt werden:

Andererseits - und hier von zentraler Bedeutung - geht es hier um die verschiedenen Lizenzierungsvarianten, speziell entsprechend Creative Commons / CC (siehe https://creativecommons.org/about/cclicenses/)

• CC BY: This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.

• CC BY-SA: This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. SA – Adaptations must be shared under the same terms

• CC BY-NC: This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.

NC – Only noncommercial uses of the work are permitted

• CC BY-NC-SA: This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator. The Creative Commons Public Domain Dedication 

CC0 (aka CC Zero) is a public dedication tool, which allows creators to give up their copyright and put their works into the worldwide public domain. CC0 allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, with no conditions.

Infolge der medientechnologischen Entwicklung ist es möglich geworden, praktisch alle Formen von Bildungsressourcen (englisch: educational resources / ER) mit geringem Aufwand zu erstellen, digital zu speichern und online weltweit verfügbar zu machen. Und gleichzeitig geben immer mehr dieser Personen ihre (fast ausschließlich mit staatlichen Geldern finanzierten) Produktionen für die Nutzung durch andere frei - wenn auch unter bestimmten Bedingungen. Sie werden damit zu offenen Bildungsressourcen (open educational resources), also OER.

Die Nutzung von OER durch andere ist umso praktikabler, je kleinteiliger, je feiner granuliert sie sind. Den Mitschnitt einer gesamten Vorlesungseinheit von 90 Minuten mit all ihrer situativen Komplexität kann ich vermutlich schwer in mein didaktisches Konzept zur Erreichung der durch mich definierten Lernergebnisse integrieren. Einen Ausschnitt von einigen Minuten, der nur ein einziges Konzept behandelt (z.B. die vollständige Induktion), dagegen schon. Deswegen gliedert Christian Spannagel, der Vorreiter der deutschsprachigen Erklärvideos, in Abschnitte von durchschnittlich ca. 10 Minuten.
