In this article you will learn how you can get credits for learning experiences that are in multiple relationships.
Several external learning experiences for one TU Wien course (e.g.: 2 external ones to 1 TU Wien one)
Fill in the first row as usual:
In the "Completed Exam" field, enter the first external learning experience, and in the "Course Number - Name" field, enter the corresponding TU Wien course. The ECTS value should match the one assigned to the corresponding TU Wien course. The grade suggestion should be the grade listed on your external certificate. Click on "Add" to add the row.In the next row in the "Completed Exam" field, enter the next external learning experience.
In the "Course Number - Name" field, enter the same TU Wien course as in step 1.
In the "Remark" field, link this row to the first row by entering "@RowNumber," where "RowNumber" is the number of the row to which it should be linked. In this case, you should leave the "ECTS" and "Grade Suggestion" fields blank.Repeat step 2 for any additional external learning experiences that are to be credited towards the same TU Wien course.
An example for this case (2:1 crediting) is depicted on Medium 1 (as video) and Medium 5 (as image).
One external learning experiences for several TU Wien courses (e.g.: 1 external ones to 2 TU Wien ones)
- Fill in the first row as usual:
In the "Completed Exam" field, enter the first external learning experience, and in the "Course Number - Name" field, enter the first TU Wien course. The ECTS value should match the one assigned to the corresponding TU Wien course. The grade suggestion should be the grade listed on your external certificate. Click on "Add" to add the row. - In the next row in the "Completed Exam" field, enter "-" (hypen).
In the "Course Number - Name" field, enter the next TU Wien course.
In the "Remark" field, link this row to the row from Step 1 by entering "@RowNumber," where "RowNumber" is the number of the row to which it should be linked. The ECTS value should match the one assigned to the corresponding TU Wien course. The grade suggestion should be the grade listed on your external certificate. - Repeat step 2 for any additional TU Wien course that are to be credited towards the same external learning experience.
An example for this case (1:2 crediting) is depicted on Medium 2 (as video) and Medium 6 (as image).
Several external learning experiences for more than one TU Wien courses (e.g.: 3 external ones to 2 TU Wien ones)
- Fill in the first row as usual:
In the "Completed Exam" field, enter the first external learning experience, and in the "Course Number - Name" field, enter the corresponding TU Wien course. The ECTS value should match the one assigned to the corresponding TU Wien course. The grade suggestion should be the grade listed on your external certificate. Click on "Add" to add the row. - In the next row in the "Completed Exam" field, enter the next external learning experience.
In the "Course Number - Name" field, there are now 2 options:- If applicable, enter the next TU Wien course. In the ECTS field, enter the value that is awarded for the corresponding TU Wien course. The suggested grade is the grade that is noted on your external certificate.
- If you have already entered all TU Wien courses that you wish to have recognised, then enter the same TU Wien course as in the row above.
The fields "ECTS" and "Grade Suggestion" should always be left blank.
In the "Remark" field, link this row to the others by entering "@RowNumber", where "RowNumber" is the row to which it is to be linked. It only needs to be linked to the rows where the fields "ECTS" and "Grade Suggestion" have been filled in (= the rows that should receive a TU Wien certificate).
- Repeat step 2 until any additional external learning experiences have been added.
An example for this case (3:2 crediting) is depicted on Medium 3 (as video) and Medium 7 (as image). Medium 9 shows an example for 4:2 crediting.
More than one external learning experience for several TU Wien courses (e.g.: 2 external ones to 3 TU Wien ones)
- Fill in the first row as usual:
In the "Completed Exam" field, enter the first external learning experience, and in the "Course Number - Name" field, enter the first TU Wien course. The ECTS value should match the one assigned to the corresponding TU Wien course. The grade suggestion should be the grade listed on your external certificate. Click on "Add" to add the row. - In the next row in the "Course Number - Name" field, enter the next TU Wien course.
