LectureTube Live nutzt die technische Infrastruktur von LectureTube in den Hörsälen zur Live Übertragung von Lehrveranstaltungen an beliebige weitere Orte (z.B. andere Hörsäle, Public Viewing, etc.). Der gesendete Live-Stream beinhaltet dabei das Audiosignal der Hörsaaltonanlage sowie den Bildschirm des Präsentationslaptops (oder wie bei LectureTube das Aufnahmebild der Dokumentenkamera). Die Echtzeitübertragung wird über TUWEL abgerufen und an beliebigen weiteren Orten über die dort vorhandenen Endgeräte (Beamer, Tonanlage) wiedergegeben. Eine Aufzeichnung des Livestreams ist durch das LectureTube Service möglich.

    Hinweise:

    • Beachten Sie, dass Live Streams technisch bedingt eine Verzögerung (im Durchschnitt) von 6 Sekunden haben.

    • Ein Tipp: Wenn Sie ein Classroom Response System gemeinsam mit LectureTube Live verwenden, planen Sie für die Durchführung etwas mehr Zeit ein (mind. 2 Minuten), da aufgrund der Übertragungsverzögerung von LectureTube Live (ca. 6 Sekunden) Studierende, die über den Live-Stream teilnehmen, potenziell weniger Zeit für die Beantwortung der Live-Fragen haben können.

    Live streaming with LectureTube from lectures halls will be replaced by recordings with LectureTube. These measures help with the flexibility of students, offering to the recordings independently from the lecture date and time, and reducing the server load respectively.

    Examples of use

    LectureTube Live uses the technical infrastructure of LectureTube in the lecture halls to broadcast courses live to any other location (e.g. other lecture halls, public viewing, etc.). The live-stream includes the audio signal from the sound system in the lecture hall, as well as the screen from the presentation laptop (or, as with LectureTube, the recorded image from the document camera). The real-time transmission is called up via TUWEL and can be replayed at any other location using the devices available there (projector, sound system, etc.). It is also possible to record the live streams through the LectureTube Service.

    Remarks:

    • Note that live streams have a delay (on average) of 6 seconds due to technical conditions.
    • A Hint: If you are using a Classroom Response System in conjunction with LectureTube Live, allow an extra time (at least 2 minutes) for completion. There is potentially less time to answer the live questions due to the transmission delay of LectureTube Live (approximately 6 seconds) for students who participate via the live stream.
